KF   I know you currently have a romantic suspense novel out in paperback and e-book form; could you tell us a bit about it?

  ST

Coiled Revenge is a spine tingling romantic suspense. Tony is a detective in a sleepy south Texas town that sees few homicides a year, and most of those are between husband and wife. Now his team is finding dead bodies and the list of suspects is starting to look like the roster of the police station. Marissa, his estranged wife, doesn't want anything to do with Tony, but her life is in danger. The killer is out to show Tony just how bad life can be.

The killer has Tony baffled. When a dead body winds up in his bed, Tony becomes the main suspect and is put on administrative leave. He and Marissa work together to ensure Tony stays free. After an attack on Marissa, she is forced to live with Tony 24/7. All those unresolved feelings are brought to the surface and Marissa finds herself hot for the man she swore never to take to bed again.

Coiled Revenge wasn't my first book to write but it's the one I loved the most. I love the action, the suspense and the romance between two people with a past.

So what's next for you? Are you currently working on anything else?

ST

I have two books coming out this year. The first is Smooth Lies. It's a romantic suspense with a military bent. Jake is almost killed but he survives only to find that Sophia is running from danger. He finds her but they both are forced to run again to escape certain death. They survive being caught by hiding in the mountains of Virgina. As the temperatures of the night cool off, the heat between Sophia and Jake builds.

I'm currently working on a paranormal short with a Halloween theme. I also am busy working on my next suspense.

How do you come up with your ideas?

ST

Ideas pop into my head at the strangest times. I usually have too many ideas and not enough time to write them all down. It could be something I saw on TV paired with something I read in the news that gets me thinking about what to write next. I've never taken a situation directly from someone I've talked to personally, but they might jog my memory about an event that happened years ago that I forgot about.

What do you enjoy most about being a writer?

ST

The coffee. No really, I love creating a world where two people can work out their differences and come together to build a strong relationship. Whether the setting is a paranormal, a suspense or a contemporary, writing about love is just fun.
